Here at one of Australia’s largest privately funded museums, you can discover masterpieces that will fascinate your senses!

Venture twelve kilometres north of Hobart’s city centre to explore the provocative and engaging MONA, a $75-million museum burrowed into Triassic sandstone. It was created by philanthropist David Walsh with an abundance of ancient treasures set amid contemporary artworks that are sure to tantalize all modern mindsets.

The best way to access this gem is via ferry or shuttle bus from Brooke St Pier for standard ($22) or posh ($55). The Moorilla winery estate also awaits; its cellar door, opened in 1958 beckons visitors through wines & Moo Brew beer tastings at its restaurant, followed up by delicious cuisine in their bar-restaurant during summers pastime concerts on the lawns!
